Two workshops

Two workshops. Two parts of the same model.

Each low-cost, 90-minute session explores a different piece of how we understand children: Our Kids Are Not Broken looks at how development drives behaviour, while More Good Days goes deep on nervous system regulation. Come to either or both, in any order.

Two distinct workshops, side by side

They're standalone. There's no required order.  Start with whichever fits where you are right now.

HOW SKILLS CREATE BEHAVIOUR

Our Kids Are Not Broken

A reassuring, practical session focused on how your child's development shapes their behaviour and why regulation is the critical component of developmental success. If you're unsure where behaviours are coming from, worried about a diagnosis, or navigating specific developmental concerns, this is the place to start making sense of it all.

What you'll take away

  • A clear picture of where behaviours actually stem from
  • Why we see changes in a child's development
  • How development can get back on track through proper foundational supports
  • Why improved regulation moves the needle for behaviour and learning

This one's for you if…

  • You're unsure where your child's behaviours are coming from
  • You're concerned about a possible diagnosis
  • You have specific developmental concerns
  • You want to understand the 'why' before deciding on any next step

HOW WE REGULATE

More Good Days

A deeper look at regulation itself; what it is, why it drives behaviour, and how a 'perfect storm' of stressors builds regulation challenges over a lifetime. From stress in pregnancy and birth, through early health interventions, school struggles and anxiety, all the way to burnt-out adults, this workshop connects the dots between stress load and long-term outcomes.

What you'll take away

  • Why regulation is the foundational piece to lifelong success
  • The key components that impact regulation and therefore behaviour and long-term outcomes
  • How the nervous system regulates and why improving it makes all the difference
  • How the 'perfect storm' of stressors builds over a lifetime

This one's for you if…

  • You want to understand regulation at a deeper level
  • You're noticing stress patterns building over time
  • You want the 'why' behind behaviour and long-term outcomes
  • You're ready to focus on the foundation, not just the symptoms

The “perfect storm” of stressors

Regulation challenges rarely come from one thing. We walk through how stress load builds across a lifetime:

  1. Stress in pregnancy
  2. Stress at birth
  3. Early health interventions
  4. Behavioural concerns
  5. Struggles with school
  6. Anxiety and depression
  7. Burnt-out adults

Not sure where to start?

Either is a great first step

Because the two workshops are standalone, you can't go wrong.  If you're trying to make sense of your child's behaviour and development, start with “Our Kids Are Not Broken.”  If you want to understand regulation itself and the bigger picture of stress, start with “More Good Days.”

What to expect

What the evening actually looks like

A relaxed, parents-only session. No role play, no homework, no pressure to sign up for anything.

Parents and caregivers only

Workshops are for the adults. Leave the kids at home so you can listen, think, and ask what you actually want to ask.

About 90 minutes, starting 6:30pm

A clear, plain-English session with time for questions at the end. Come as you are; tea and a seat are waiting.

Held at the clinic

Both clinics are fully accessible with step-free entry and accessible parking. Let us know if you need anything to feel comfortable.

No pressure, ever

There's no sales pitch and no expectation to book care afterwards. If you'd like a consultation, we'll make that easy; if not, that's completely fine.

After a workshop

No pressure to do more

If you want to go deeper, workshop attendees can choose a one-on-one child consultation for a developmental and nervous system assessment.  It's an option; never an expectation.

Questions

Workshop FAQs

No. Many families come because they notice patterns, with or without a diagnosis. You don't need a label to attend a workshop or to want to understand what's driving your child's behaviour.
