Privacy Policy

Eden Health and Chiropractic operates clinics in Christchurch. You can contact us at admin@edenchiropractic.co.nz or by phone on Christchurch City: 027 775 5859 · Lincoln: 027 775 5858.

We only collect information we need to provide care and run our clinics:

• Contact details: your name, your child's name and age, email, phone number, and preferred clinic.
• Health information: your or your child's history, developmental and behavioural concerns, examination findings, care notes, and progress.
• Booking and payment information: workshop registrations, appointment times, and payment confirmations. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.
• Website information: basic technical data such as pages visited, used to keep the site working well.

Where practical we collect information directly from you. If someone else provides information about you (for example a GP or another provider), we will tell you.

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange consultations or workshops.
• To assess, plan, and deliver care, and to keep accurate clinical records.
• To process workshop payments and send booking confirmations and reminders.
• To send you information you have asked for, or clinic updates you have opted into. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To meet legal, professional, and accreditation obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.

We only disclose information where you have authorised it, or where the Privacy Act and Health Information Privacy Code allow it. This may include:

• Other health or education providers involved in your child's care, with your consent.
• Service providers who help us operate, such as our practice management, customer relationship, email, and payment providers. They are bound to protect your information and may store data securely overseas.
• Where disclosure is required by law, or necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone's health or safety.

Information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Only team members who need access to do their job can see your records. We retain health information for at least 10 years after your last visit, as required by New Zealand health record rules, and securely destroy or de-identify information we no longer need.

You have the right to ask what information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, withdraw consent, or ask us to stop sending marketing emails. For children, a parent or guardian can usually make these requests on their behalf. Email admin@edenchiropractic.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days.

Our website uses only the cookies needed for the site and booking forms to function, plus basic aggregate analytics. We do not use them to identify you personally.

If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, please contact us first at admin@edenchiropractic.co.nz so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz, 0800 803 909) or, for health service concerns, the Health and Disability Commissioner (hdc.org.nz, 0800 11 22 33).

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date it was last updated.
